Returns/Exchanges

We offer an Exchange Only Return Policy. We do not accept cancelations or exchanges on the following: Products benefitting charitable organizations, face masks, items tagged final run/sale, free or promotional items, any items damaged during shipping or opening, make-up, perishable goods, items washed, worn or unsealed, including vinyl/CDs that have been opened.

Pre-Orders

Pre-ordering an album does not mean you'll receive it before the rest of the world. In fact, depending on where you live and the ship date, you may not get the album until after its official release date. All pre-order products will display an expected "SHIPS ON OR AROUND" date in the product description, which is subject to change, due to unexpected delays, beyond our control. Additional items purchased on the same ticket as a pre-order will not ship until the time specified in the description of the pre-ordered item.

Final Run

Items with the "Final Run" tag are not eligible for exchanges.

Vinyl & Posters

Vinyl records and posters are pristine when packed. Please be aware we DO NOT issue refunds or replacements for minor cosmetic damage, such as corner dings, bends, split inserts, and so on. We pack our vinyl and posters securely and carefully in custom crafted boxes and tubes, but in some cases this type of wear is simply unavoidable during transit.

US Orders

Domestic orders take 1-2 business days to process, plus transit time.

International Orders

We ship just about everywhere. International orders take 1-2 days to process, plus transit time. Please note international shipments can often be unreliable and most delays happen at customs offices. ALL international customers are subject to the laws, duties and taxes of their destination country. Hello Merch is not responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged during domestic transit.

USPS Media Mail

This method is offered to US customers as an old school budget service for vinyl, but highly discouraged, as it poses a greater risk for delays and damage. Hello Merch is not responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged during domestic transit.

Heidecker & Wood, is the songwriting and recording duo Tim Heidecker (co-creator of “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!”) and Davin Wood (composer on “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!”) Their first release, Starting From Nowhere, consists of twelve songs written and recorded at Heidecker and Wood’s home studios over the course of two years, often with months passing between sessions. The recordings evoke the sounds of ‘70s soft rock (Eagles, Billy Joel, Doobie Brothers), singer-songwriters (Jackson Browne, Seals and Croft), and ace studio rock groups (Steely Dan, Queen). The combination of Heidecker’s strange mix of dry humor and sincerity with Wood’s spot-on ability to create authentically nostalgic sounding tracks creates a simultaneously puzzling and delightful listening experience; one that deserves multiple spins and is bound to result in spontaneous shower serenades.

It all began one night at Heidecker’s house where Wood found himself working with Heidecker on a song for “Awesome Show.” They had crafted a tune that wasn’t quite right for the show – it sounded more like something “The Band” would have played, silly lyrics aside. From there, Heidecker and Wood began improvising around a chorused out Fender Rhodes and lyrics about the “prince and the pauper.” Tim sang in a super relaxed “Gordan Lightfoot” baritone while Davin floated around the keys as if stoned on ‘ludes left over from ‘74. After goofing around for a bit, they locked in and proceeded to lay down the basic tracks for “Weatherman” that night.

From there, Heidecker and Wood would intermittently schedule a meeting at Tim’s where they would write a song -- usually based on a rough sketch or a kind of song they were aiming for -- and record the basic tracks. Davin would then take the track back to his lair and add layer upon layer of smooth magic. Over time, songs and tracks began to pile up. Eventually this little hobby started to seem to Tim and Davin like it might just be more than a little hobby. It may be worth a release. Friends were encouraging and pushed Tim and Davin to finish what they started. But to be true to the style they were going for things had to sound just right. So Tim brought on Pierre de Reeder (Rilo Kiley) to mix the record, who then suggested bringing in session drummer Jason Boesel to replace Davin’s midi drums which were “oh so close”, but missing the organic feel of a real human being. Pierre took what began in a bedroom office and a laptop and turned it into something that sounds like it came out of a Sunset Blvd studio.

So there you have it. Call it whatever you like: Vanity project? Sure. Novelty record? Why not? Our only hope is that you won’t be able to get these songs out of your head and that one day you’ll be caught singing out loud to yourself “you better be fighting what’s right in the world,” and wonder “what the fuck does THAT mean?”
